These state-of-the-art instruments utilize high accuracy multi-point laser scanners to capture data in a field or shop environment. They rapidly capture panoramic digital photos and millions of 3D points in a 360 X 300 degree view.
Technologies utilized:
AEMS, a T&H authored software (registered and copyrighted) utilizes a total station laser beam to capture precise (< 1/8” @ 150’) field data/locations which imports into CAD and converts to 3D Models. State-of-the-art laser equipment provides a 360 degree data by capturing X Y and Z axis for a three dimensional view of the facility. Major CAD design software including PDMS, PDS, AutoCAD converts this data to 3D models that facilitates viewing from various angles. HDS is an ideal choice for a range of industrial applications from reverse engineering to quality inspection.

- Refining Facility: Taylor & Hill’s HDS Scanning Technology was used to determine the deflection of a 275’ flare stack. Utilizing the scanning over a period of a few days confirmed that the top of the flare stack leaning over 8 (eight) feet off center. Implementing this technology saved several thousands of dollars if heavy lifting equipment had been used. Most importantly the laser scanning operations was conducted safely and efficiently.
